How we reviewed Datehookup

As an online dating expert, I take my reviews seriously. To review Datehookup, me and my team went through a rigorous process that included testing both the free and paid versions of the site. We spent days sending messages to other users – in total we sent over 500 messages! Additionally, we took time to explore all features available on Datehookup such as its search filters, messaging system etc., which gave us insight into how it works from a user’s perspective. As part of our review process for this website (and any others), we also looked at safety measures like encryption protocols used by the site so that members can be sure their data is secure when using it. Lastly but not leastly (yes I made up this word!),we did extensive research on customer feedback regarding their experiences with Datehookup before concluding our findings about this particular dating platform. This commitment sets us apart from other review sites who don’t offer such in-depth reviews – you know what they say: "You get what you pay for!"

Design & Usability

Ugh, Datehookup. It’s like walking into a time machine and being transported back to the 90s! The design is outdated and tacky with its neon green font on an electric blue background – talk about eyesore. Not only that, but it’s hard to navigate around the site as well; you have no idea where anything is located or how to find what you’re looking for without clicking through multiple pages.

The usability of this dating site leaves much to be desired too – there are so many ads popping up everywhere that it can be quite distracting when trying focus on finding someone special (or at least someone who isn’t totally crazy). Plus, some features require users pay for a subscription in order access them which makes me wonder if they’ve done any UI improvements since then? I doubt it…

It seems like every page has something wrong with it: broken links here, slow loading times there…you get my drift? Even signing up takes forever because of all the extra questions they ask – do we really need your shoe size?! Come on now… All-in-all Datehookup looks more like an online flea market than a modern day dating website these days!

Datehookup features

Ugh, Datehookup. What a disappointment! I was expecting so much more from this dating site – after all, it’s been around for years and has had plenty of time to perfect its features. But unfortunately that hasn’t happened… at least not yet.

Let’s start with the free version: It’s pretty basic stuff here – you can create a profile, upload photos and browse other users’ profiles (but without being able to message them). You also get access to some limited search filters which are supposed to help you find matches but in reality they don’t do much good as most of the options are quite vague or outdated (who even uses ‘zodiac sign’ anymore?). The only unique feature is their ‘Who Do You Like?’ game where you answer questions about what kind of people appeal to your tastes; however it doesn’t seem very useful either since there aren’t many choices available when playing the game.

Moving on now let’s talk about paid membership… Here things actually look better than before as paying members have access too many additional features such as unlimited messaging capabilities, advanced search filters and even an option for private photo albums if desired! That said though these extra benefits still feel somewhat lacking compared with other sites out there like eHarmony or Match who offer far more comprehensive services including compatibility tests and detailed personality assessments etcetera.. In short while Datehookup may be great if all you’re looking for is casual flirting/dating opportunities then maybe consider checking out one of those aforementioned alternatives instead because they’ll give you way better bang-for-your buck in terms overall quality experience offered by each respective service provider.

  • Free to join and use
  • Ability to search for potential matches by location, age, gender, interests, and more
  • Live chat with other members
  • Photo and video profiles
  • Compatibility quizzes to help you find the perfect match

Mobile App

Ah, Datehookup. A classic dating site that’s been around for ages and still going strong! But does it have a mobile app? Well, the answer is yes…and no. It doesn’t actually have its own native app but you can access the website from your phone or tablet using any web browser like Chrome or Safari.

The good news is that this makes it super easy to use on-the-go; all you need to do is open up your browser and type in www.datehookup.com – simple as pie! Plus, since there isn’t an official mobile version of Datehookup yet (at least not at the time of writing), this means anyone with an internet connection can get involved without having to download anything extra onto their device – hooray for free stuff!

However, while being able to access Datehookup via a web browser may be convenient enough for some users out there who don’t mind typing URLs into search bars every now and then…it definitely ain’t ideal if ya wanna make sure those dates keep coming thick n’ fast each week – know what I mean? Yeeeahhh…a dedicated app would really help things along here so fingers crossed we see one soonish eh?!

So why hasn’t DateHookUp released its own native App yet? Who knows?! Maybe they just haven’t gotten round to developing one properly yet – after all, creating apps takes lots o’ time & money which most companies aren’t always willing/able ta shell out right away yanno…? Or maybe they’re waiting until certain features are perfected before releasing something more ‘official’. Whatever the case may be though let’s hope they come through sooner rather than later cos heyyyy….we could ALL do with some lovin’, amirite??

User Profiles

If you’re looking for a date, Datehookup isn’t the place to go. Sure, it’s free and easy to sign up – but that’s about where the positives end. The user profiles are public which means anyone can view them without signing in – so much for privacy! You can add some basic info like your age or gender but there’s no option to set a custom bio which makes finding someone with similar interests almost impossible. Plus all of their location information is visible too; there doesn’t seem any way of hiding this either so if you’re wanting anonymity then forget it!

Speaking of locations, I didn’t notice any indication as to how far away potential matches were from me when browsing through users’ profiles – not great if distance matters at all in your search criteria. And unfortunately things don’t get better with premium subscriptions either; apart from being able to access more features (which let’s face it aren’t exactly groundbreaking) there weren’t really many benefits worth shelling out extra cash for anyway…definitely not value-for-money here folks! To top off my less than stellar experience on Datehookup I encountered quite a few fake accounts while testing out the site – definitely something they need work on improving pronto because nothing kills an online dating buzz faster than knowing half those people messaging you back ain’t even real…yikes!! All in all though, despite its name suggesting otherwise: hooking up won’t be happening anytime soon thanks solely down this dud dating website…

Pricing

When it comes to Datehookup, the price is definitely not right. While they claim that their services are free, you’ll quickly find out that there’s a catch: if you want access to any of the site’s features beyond basic messaging and profile browsing, then you’re gonna have to shell out some cash for a paid subscription.

The good news is that prices aren’t outrageous – but don’t expect too much bang for your buck either! The premium packages offer only limited benefits compared with other dating sites on the market; so while it may be competitively priced in comparison, I wouldn’t call it an unbeatable deal by any means. Plus when all’s said and done what do we really get? Sure we can see who viewed our profiles or send unlimited messages…but at what cost? In my opinion these extras just aren’t worth shelling out money for – especially since many other websites provide similar services without requiring payment!

Bottom line: unless you absolutely need those extra bells-and-whistles (which let’s face it most people don’t), I’d say save yourself some dough and steer clear of Datehookup altogether.

Plan | Price | Features Free | $0 | Create a profile, Search for singles, View profiles, Send messages, Add friends, Upload photos Premium | $19.99/month | All Free features plus: See who’s viewed your profile, Get highlighted in search results, Advanced matching algorithms VIP | $29.99/month | All Premium features plus: VIP badge on profile, Unlimited messaging, Access to exclusive events

Finding people on Datehookup is easy – all you have to do is create a profile and start browsing. It’s not the best dating site out there, so don’t expect too much from it.
